The Type K Thermocouple (SKU JA-DAS-9196) is a nickel-chromium / nickel-alumel thermocouple, the most common thermocouple type, with a maximum continuous temperature of around 1,100°C. Its relative radiation hardness also makes type K common in nuclear applications. It is used with thermocouple meters, transmitters and data loggers to measure high temperatures in furnaces, heat transfer rigs and process equipment.
