The Plug Flow Reactor (Coiled Tube Type) (SKU JA-CR-9134) is a helical coil tube reactor for studying a non-catalytic, homogeneous reaction under isothermal conditions. Two reactants are pumped by a magnetic drive pump from two feed tanks through rotameters with needle valves into the lower end of the coil, and samples are taken where the mixture leaves the top. The coil geometry creates secondary flow, so a higher rate constant is expected than in a straight tube. It is supplied by JaincoLab for reaction engineering laboratories.
