The RTD Packed Bed Reactor Apparatus (SKU JA-CR-9148) is a residence time distribution set-up for studying axial dispersion of liquid flowing through a packed bed, which matters in the design of separation equipment and reactors. Water from a 20 litre tank is fed by compressed air through a rotameter and a bottom liquid distributor into a borosilicate glass column packed with glass Raschig rings. A tracer pulse is injected at the lower end by syringe and samples are taken from the top. It is supplied by JaincoLab for reaction engineering laboratories.
