The Manual Solid Liquid Extraction Pilot Plant (SKU JA-CELE-9507) is a continuous screw extractor for leaching a soluble component out of a solid with a solvent. Solids fed from a 2 litre hopper are carried through a 1,000 mm extraction column by a PTFE Archimedean screw while preheated solvent flows through, and the extract and spent solids are collected in 10 litre tanks. Pneumatic devices are set by hand. This solid-liquid extraction plant is supplied by JaincoLab for chemical engineering mass transfer laboratories.

The plant has a 1,000 mm extraction column with PTFE Archimedean screw, feed and transport screws driven at 0-20 rpm and 0-10 rpm, a 0.4 kW quartz solvent preheater, a solvent metering pump of 0-12 litres/hour with a 0.2-1.0 bar pneumatic actuator and three Pt100 temperature points.
