The Single Effect Falling Film Evaporation Pilot Plant (SKU JA-CELE-9519) is a steam-heated evaporator for concentrating solutions, as used in food, dairy and chemical processing. The feed runs as a thin film down the tubes of a falling film shell-and-tube evaporator with 0.27 m² exchange surface, the vapour is condensed in a 1.1 m² shell-and-tube condenser, and steam flow is measured with a calibrated diaphragm and set by a pneumatic valve.
