The Manual Cooling Tower (SKU JA-CELE-9522) is a bench cooling tower for studying evaporative cooling of water by an air stream. Hot water from a 9 litre stainless steel tank heated by three 500 W heaters is pumped to the top of a 550 mm clear acrylic tower and falls through one of three interchangeable packings while a centrifugal fan blows air upward. Six digital thermometers and a water flow meter record the run. This cooling tower demonstration unit is supplied by JaincoLab for chemical and mechanical engineering heat transfer laboratories.
